Ashraf Hanna was born in Egypt, and studied Foundation and Access Studies in Expressive Art at El Minia College of Fine Arts. He got his Master in Arts at Royal College of Art. He now lives in the UK in Pembrokeshire.

Nothing is original anymore nowadays. If there is anything prominent artists are good at, it would be their ability to make something rather old look new. Sometimes this fresh way to look at things can really improve any artists creativity. It's also not practical to keep manufacturing new stuff because the more raw materials we squander, all the more people somewhere across the globe get displaced. You see, all these raw materials don't just come out of nowhere. They are being mined. Ethnic tribes get displaced. You just don't see it in the news.
